My rising freshman is enrolled in honors physics 1 next year. After reading this thread, I'm wondering if he should hold off. He will be taking Algebra 2 concurrently. Is it better to take honors physics in Sophomore or Junior year?
Most schools have freshmen take Bio, sophomores take Chem, and juniors take Physics.
That's what I thought based on the incoming freshman meeting. I'm genuinely confused as to why ds is signed up for physics. He's also enrolled in apush (probably fine) and another AP in his weakest subject. Do counselors not review the courses students pick? Who do I reach out to now , not knowing who his counselor is yet?
My kid just took ap physics 1 as a sophomore. Got a five on the ap. Next year as a junior he is taking bc calc and honors chem. I am not sure why he took physics this year but it worked out well obviously
