Not OP but this attitude kind of pisses me off. I’m similar and mid-40s. Please stop the “doable with small changes” while giving all the sympathy to those who are obese.  Nope. Working my ass off to stay 10-15 lbs over and the weight doesn’t budge once you are peri or menopausal. [/quote]

You know, maybe they should follow the advice and make some small changes. I get it - but at the same time type 2 diabetes can be managed through the same food choices. So it’s insulting to say to a person “just make some small changes” it should be saved for people who have let it get out of control. [/quote]
Will add that my girlfriend went on it, then as soon as her weight was within the normal range, they wouldn’t prescribe it. She ballooned back up again. At which point they were again willing to prescribe. What is the point of that? [/quote]
