Are the decisions out yet? Did the high achieving students who were denied as freshmen, get in as sophomores to the class of 2025? I assume those that complained that their STEM stars did not get in applied again.
The high-achieving students all got in as freshmen. The 3rd rate preppers who were able to slip in with the old system were denied.
3rd rate students got in as freshmen after the admission system changed and many got kicked out for failure to maintain min 3.0 ugpas.
Yes, under the old system some students who had early access to the test were able to slide in under the radar but had a tough time while at TJ, but with the new system only the very top students seem to get in.
Clearly, you do not understand the new system at all.
It is supposed to be Sophomore selection thread but spins again on the Freshman selection. One thing is clear class of 2025 and beyond with current selection process are naturally ("innate") talented. There is no objective measures to evaluate their talents (except the fact that they made it to "TJ"). The "innate" talents can't be measured by PSAT/SAT/AMC/SO/Science Fair/Robotics/Math competitions/AP scores/NMSQT/Classes Taken/Class score/ or any other academic competitions....
