OP or PP with similar stories, would love to know what your eating looks like on an average day. I'm post menopausal at 54 and weight has been stacking up for a while. My insurance won't authorize the weight loss drugs and I really want/need a reset that's sustainable. Thanks in advance!
I’m 43 now, and the PP with the 50 + lb weight loss I’ve been maintaining for 4 months thus far. I posted a to about my experience in a thread titled “Let’s lose together” and from that thread here’s an example of my eating for two days when I was in weight loss mode: Yesterday I had a bowl of mixed berries and 2 slices of prosciutto for breakfast and a cup of hot tea with cream. For lunch I had more strawberries, and a slice of homemade veggie quiche. A cup of iced coffee with cream for an afternoon snack. For dinner I had baked chicken drumsticks, a salad with balsamic vinegar, steamed green beans, and 1/2 c of wild rice. After dinner for a snack I had a couple slices of manchego and a slice of watermelon. Today I had hot tea with cream, a plain Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries for breakfast. For lunch I had the same thing as yesterday. Afternoon iced coffee with cream. For dinner we are having vegetable lasagna, another salad with balsamic vinegar, and roasted cauliflower. I don’t know if I’ll want a snack later, sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. Yesterday my app tells me I ate 1350 calories. So far today I am at 600 and would expect to be between 1200-1300 after dinner, more if I have a snack later, but aiming for under 1500 per day.
