Oh, that’s hilarious.  My kid competes in these competitions.  I can guarantee you that not a single kid who competes in AMC does so based on knowledge gleaned from MCPS Math classes.

Every single kid who competes in Math gets enrichment from outside MCPS.

MCPS Math is abysmal.  Truly.  Parents who have kids who enjoy math have to seek out alternatives or else our kids love of math would be extinguished complexity thanks to MCPS.[/quote]

In my old hood in Moco there were more Math cram schools than 35 mile an hour speed signs or traffic red light cameras.  How long have your kids been out of MCPS.  It’s not 1989 anymore. [/quote]
