I'm so sorry. I know exactly the feeling you are talking about. When I got a bad case of mastitis, I remember laying in bed thinking that the 103 fever and body aches were as bad or worse than labor. My first Covid vaccine shot also gave me 103 fever and body aches, and I remember having that same thought again. It's just really hard to have a high fever as an adult. I hope you can get Paxlovid and some relief.
Op here. Thank you. This truly reminds me of labor. Just the despair and the desperately wanting it to be OVER, and just craving relief, any kid of relief. I’m just so freaking angry right now, we had the worst winter ever of kid illnesses, I missed so much work, I was so badly sick (with flu and with covid and multiple other viruses). I feel like I CANNOT GO BACK TO THAT HORRIBLE TIME AGAIN. I CANNOT DO IT.
I’m sorry OP. We had a terrible winter too and it was a dark, depressing time for us. Thankfully COVID was mild for us, but I feel this way about stomach viruses. Every time I get one there’s a high likelihood of me ending up in the ER on IV fluids. I have low blood pressure and then adding in vomiting just makes me collapse. And all I can do is try not to cry while I wait for it to be over. I hope you can get some relief soon.
