I've been sick with a virus for three weeks now, much worse than covid. I had covid last August, took Paxlovid, it was like a mild cold for about a week then gone. This cold or flu or whatever started as a sore throat, then sneezing and nose blowing, achy and tired, then the cough, kept getting worse, turned into pneumonia, been on antibiotics and steroids for 5 days and am just starting to feel it start to go away. Still feeling weak and tired and sick. I'll take covid any day. I don't understand how OP could have covid at least twice and still be wondering if maybe Paxlovid might help.
Op here. I’m so sorry you’ve been so sick! That sounds awful!!! You’ve never been able to figure out what it is? The first time I had COVID was early in the pandemic and paxlovid didn’t exist. The 2nd time I tried to get it but was unable. I thought the consensus was that it didn’t help very much.
What I have is a virus that turned into pneumonia. I got diagnosed at urgent care when I finally gave up just waiting it out. As you can see from the comments you have gotten, and was also my experience and my adult daughter's too, Paxlovid made a big difference. It gives you a weird taste in your mouth but is otherwise totally worth it. And BTW I tested twice and definitely don't have covid.
