If you pray the rosary as a family, how do you keep the kids involved (ie not running around)? I don’t want to turn it into a battle of wills and sour them on the experience (kids are 22 month and 4).
Your kids seem too young to concentrate on a serious task like this. How old were you when you started praying the rosary? Did you do it as a family?
They're way too young! 4 is old enough to start learning the prayers, but not old enough to sit through even one decade of the rosary. 22 months is too young for either.
See response below to the poster who originally suggested that OP's kids might be too young: "Maybe raise your own kids and don’t worry about other people’s kids? You don’t pay the bills in their house, you don’t cook/clean/provide childcare. You don’t take their kids to school or help them do their homework. When their child is sick, you don’t get up at night to give them medication or take them to the doctor or hospital. You don’t have anything to do with how pp takes care of or raises their child."
dude, OP asked a question in a public forum. nobody barged into her house questioning holw she raises her kids. and yes, my response is that asking how to make a 22 month old to sit through the rosary is mindblogging. are you so afraid that if you dont start the brainwashing early enough is not going to work? and I grew up in a Catholic family
DP. Yes, we all know you grew up in a Catholic family and that you're on here 24/7/365 telling us how much you hate the religion. It's still none of your business. Maybe mind your own kids or family members. - not a Catholic
Yeah,, don't care for "dude guys" comments either. Too rude,
Are their comments actually rude, or is it that they express an opinion that you would prefer not to hear? Personally, I think some people on this thread have been rude to posters who question OP teaching the rosary to small children. e.g., "It's still none of your business. Maybe mind your own kids or family members." Seriously, it's NO ONE'S business how anyone raises their children (unless they're being abusive). OP came here specifically for input and then some posters thank it's OK to criticize input they don't agree with. Weird.
