We take one day - ONE DAY - in May to remember those who died in defense of our country. 
And, we have 145 calendar days to recognize "alternate lifestyles."  
This is more than "something existing."

Oh for fcks sake drop the hyperbole.  The government is NOT out there attacking and harassing people for merely being straight.  This does not affect anyone, unless you are the >1% out there destroying property (like trashing displays with rainbow shirts for kids) or engaging in hate crimes because you're an anti-LGBTQ+ bigot.  As for individuals, you have freedom of speech to make stupid bigoted statements and they have freedom of speech to call you out for being a bigot.  But by the same token, if individuals actually threaten or physically attack you for being a bigot then the government is every bit as much going to prosecute them for it as anyone else.
