Elementary schools are Poolesville or Monocacy, middle school is John Poole, and the high school is Poolesville. The high school has two magnet programs. The town is nearly crime free, small town atmosphere, everyone knows everyone else, kids ride their bikes everywhere, including the county pool which is in town. Surrounding rural area is priceless. Its in the Agricultural Reserve which means no houses can be built on property less than 25 acres. Close to the river and C&O canal. Many people think its "far out" but in fact Poolesville is only 11 miles to Quince Orchard.[/quote]
