I do this, too! I'm glad my husband isn't divorcing me over it. I do plenty of worse and more annoying things he could pick from.
PP, this is one of the most enlightening posts I have read on DCUM. So many people come here to complain about trivial things their spouses do. Instead, your post reflects the love he shows you.
He really does. My dog loves me the most, my husband and mom next - and that's despite me being a total PIA to both of them. (I treat the dog like a king.) My husband gets it back. He certainly has plenty of stuff I could divorce him over. It really goes both ways. In fact I've been on here complaining about some of them, like when I feel like I can't take his bathroom being a crime scene one more time. I think often the petty things aren't really petty. They're things that are truly annoying - and sometimes you just aren't in the mood - and they are also the things you end up focusing on when the rest of the relationship is just gone. It's not that the stray sock on the floor is really what you're going to leave them over, but you see that sock and realize you can't take one more day of putting up with that person.
