I think both - and it's very frightening language. See, that's the policy reasons why we hate DeSantis - because he appeals to the ethnic cleaners  - and the interpersonal reasons are because he wipes his nose then wipes his hand on another person's shirt.

What? No. This is why you find that Biden isn't holding cult like rallies, and aren't generally wearing hats in off-election years, and that sort of thing. It's why you find the disconnect between approval ratings and actual results. Because we AREN'T in a cult. We like him well enough, and we like him MUCH better than any of the alternatives. I would crawl over broken glass to vote for him over Trump or DeSantis because I HATE them that much, not because I am slavishly devoted to Biden.

I do like him, though. He's quietly a very good president. Still not getting a tattoo of his name on my forehead.
