Cyclists use a BELL WAY IN ADVANCE OF COMING UP ON WALKERS. ALSO "ON YOUR LEFT" ONLY WORKS WHEN GIVEN ENOUGH TIME TO MOVE OVER. MOST CYCLISTS SAY IT TOO LATE WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY UP ON YOU AND ARE ABOUT TO INJUR SOMEONE. I'M YELLING ON PURPOSE!!!! I have nothing positive to say about the Cyclists who use the mixed paths around NOVA. NOTHING POSITIVE. Let's keep it at that.
I am 100% in agreement with you here. Anybody exceeding 12mph on a bike should not be using any of the "bike paths" around our area. I am 100% not interested in riding a bike at 12mph. That is why I am willing to tangle with cars. Its a numbers game, and I am very self-aware. If some asshat wants to "buzz me" because they have some issue with people riding their ridiculous bikes long distances at high speed with goofy looking kit on, that's cool. I only ended up getting blown into a ditch once, and off the road a few times, no major accidents. I have had friends die in accidents. But, it is what it is. That said, I suspect you have some other latent issue with people on bikes. You probably lament how anybody could want to go out with their friends for 100 miles in one day. After all, they must be pretending. They really should just sit in front of the TV instead of working on their cardio engine.
