My cousin - child of my mom's sister - had identical twins. Immediately my mom started this horrible string of conversations about how she must have used fertility treatments, etc. Not to me, of course, as I'm so close to my cousin, but to my sister-in-law. The hard fact that identical twins are *not* a result of fertility treatments didn't stop her. She (all of us) have no religious objection to fertility treatments, my mom is just judgmental and mean. So, we're not telling my mom about our journey. (And FWIW: my cousin did have IVF, she did tell her mom, my very supportive aunt, and the only person my mom can talk to is my sister-in-law, as the rest of told her STFU.)[/quote]
