Mady has said on tiktok that she is not receiving parental help for college and has loans. I believe Alexis also said that she's paying for college. Pretty despicable that [b]their parents[/b] blew all that money instead of helping their kids out. [/quote]

And therein lies the issue with reality TV. The Coogan Law is for work done in the state of California. NY, IL, NM, and LA have also passed the Coogan Law in their states for child actors. Other states have rules about work hours for minors but not all have rules about money being set aside for the kids.

PA did enact some regulations in 2013 as a result of the Gosselin kids. The regulations included working hours limits, a teacher needing to be present during filming for schooling, trust accounts, and the need for work permits for the kids. [/quote]
