Other towns manage to do it with far lower taxes than DC [/quote] How about because GW was required by law 20 years ago to provide more on-campus housing so it struck a public-private partnership deal with SWW/DCPS to use the only open space on SWW campus to build a new dorm. This was in exchange for helping to renovate SWW and provide shared access to GW facilities. My guess is this agreement was vague/in good faith and GW never fully held up its end of the bargain.[/quote]
