It’s truly just one of many MCPS middle schools and your student will have the same opportunities as he would elsewhere. That being said, moving to any school for just 8th grade can be tough if he’s expecting to come in and have a big group of friends at the very beginning of the year. He may get to know some students throughout the year depending on his personality and interests, but it can take time. Might be better to wait to start new in high school where it’s a new experience for everyone. [/quote]
