Atlanta families are making the same calculation with respect to UGA that Northern Virginia families make about UVA - it's got great bang for the buck. Why go out of state when you have an excellent, affordable university in your state? [/quote]

Fair enough. I just thought it was selective, and hearing that 85% number suggested it's not. Would you be happy if your private school bragged about 100% college attendance rate, then you learned 60% of those went to community college?[/quote]

Many for sure would be happy at a school that had so many get into UGA in the Atlanta area, great school and free! Win/win for sure! Lots of instate kids choose UGA over other top oos public and private schools, not only for price but they have been brought going to Athens from birth and that’s the only place they want to go. It’s not all just about perceived prestige or rankings for them. [/quote]
