Atlanta families are making the same calculation with respect to UGA that Northern Virginia families make about UVA - it's got great bang for the buck. Why go out of state when you have an excellent, affordable university in your state? [/quote]

The OP did not say that UGA's overall acceptance rate is 85% - and it's not, it's 40%.

OP said that "upward of 75% of graduated students" [i]at her kids private school[/i] went to UGA. What this says is that the kids at that private school are high achievers, as you would expect at a presumably expensive and selective private high school. I don't know why you would interpret it to mean that UGA is a community college.  :roll: [/quote]
