For the first quarter of 2023, violent crime is up 7%. Carjackings are up 263% this first quarter of 2023 compared to last year. Personal robbery is up 15%. Weapons offenses are up 11% Assaults are up 11% Human trafficking is up 17% And sex offenses are up 10% And if you want year over year, 2022 had more violent and nonviolent crime than 2019, which is the year everyone looks to compare to, because it is pre-pandemic.
