The treadmills at my gym show calorie burn, but one of the trainers told me the other day that the calorie burn is based on a 28-year-old, 180 pound man. That’s not me. Consider exercise what you do for your health, but when it comes to wait loss, it’s about what you eat and how much. Most people over-estimate how many calories they are burning and under-estimate how much they are eating. Track calories using My Fitness Pal or another app. For a few weeks, track every bite you put in your mouth to get an accurate handle on how many calories you are actually taking in. What you are eating makes a difference - not just what, but how much. The person who mentioned nibbling while making kids’ lunches is right - it’s the sneaky calories that add up.
