Surely you know what “gender affirming care” means, as it is right in the description. It’s any care that helps affirm your gender identity. My friend who received a breast lift after nursing 3 babies received gender affirming care. My aunt who had a double mastectomy due to breast cancer and underwent reconstructive surgery received gender affirming care. And a trans person who takes T or hormone blockers receives gender affirming care. The Botox I receive once a quarter is gender affirming care, even, as I feel it helps my face remain more feminine. Interesting how "gender affirming" care did not exist 10 years ago.   Humans go thought multiple stages of development, from conception.  Puberty is one of those stages and a pretty important one, the idea of prescribing blockers to any child is criminal - there is no way to tell how destructive this will be long term.  To deny the body the ability to grow without interruption and go through its stages is absolute nonsense,  how can anyone believe there will be no long term heath  problems is ridiculous.  Not to mention the uneccessary surgeries, how can anyone really think that removing properly functioning genitalia  and the trying to make them into the opposite gender is "health care". those "fake parts". will NEVER function properly for normal everyday functions or for childbirth or intimacy.  To say this is health care is the most egregious form of patient abuse.  These people are set up for a lifetime of medical problems, reliance on hormones and other drugs plus the psychological problems when they realize that you cannot chang your gender and all this "gender affirming care" does not magically make you happy - breast lift is not gender affirming care. - its a procedure to fix a real problem - healthy breasts are being removed just because someone doesn't want them, that is not care, that is mutilation and self hate.  Any woman who has had a child and was fortunate enough to breastfeed, recognizes how incredible we are made that we are able to produce milk just as our child is ready to eat - its a complex and beautiful thing - breaks my heart that women would chop them off and pisses me off that these quack doctors are doing this - any surgery has risks and these people are not being given the full story
