Soon families won’t be able to get assistance such as section 8 or SNAP unless they prove their able-bodied preteen is working too. They shouldn’t be working, they should be in school. There is a reason that public middle schools & high schools are so much more universally rigorous in many countries besides the U.S.: there, there is no expectation or need for TEENAGERS to work.
