.+ 1. And this cannot be good for retaining those nice stores there. I used to go shopping at Fresh Market with a baby in tow not that long ago, but I haven’t been wanting to go back lately. DH and I also got our wedding cake at that Alexandria Pastry Shop. We enjoy popping in there for a coffee/sandwich/treat every so often, but haven’t been frequenting that shopping center lately. It’s getting too much negative publicity. The stores and landlord cannot be happy about all the crime.[/quote]

They aren't happy about it and been very vocal but no one is listening - especially not the Mayor.  A few weeks ago, there was an news article about all the violence. Wilson was quoted as saying that he was unaware that the businesses had concerns. There was a shooting where the victim crawled into the Duck Donuts and a stabbing/murder in the parking lot. But he apparently didn't make the leap from the crime and violence to business owners not being happy about it. [/quote]
