It feeds into the narrative that FCPS is out of control and in need of a total overhaul, but then it pisses off some of the other conservatives at Langley who care very much about protecting the school’s image. So you end up with people who should be allies at cross-purposes with one another.

The Fairfax GOP is apparently endorsing candidates later this week.  It will be interesting to see how many candidates they actually have and then finding out whether they are MAGA types or a more moderate alternative to the FCDC folks like Frisch and Meren. As someone in Dranesville, I have no sense Robyn Lady would be anything other than another “go along to get along” Democrat like Tholen, so I’m intrigued to hear this guy Bartkowski is running.  But if his agenda turns out to be all about school vouchers and charter schools, not going to be interested in him, either.  [/quote]
