Its going to be a huge issue for some kids who  aren't being allowed to test at all for the high school programs.  We are in virtual and our home school is supposed to test our kids but they will not even respond to emails.  I do't see the issue with testing.  If your kid is in  magnet then shouldn't they be in Algebra2 this year?[/quote]

No, the only kids who take Algebra 2 in 8th grade are at wealthy Potomac MS, which accelerated 6th graders with sufficiently high MAP scores, or kids who went to a wealthy Potomac ES, which offers AIM in 5th grade. If you live elsewhere in Moco, you're out of luck no matter how high your scores are...[/quote]

Not true. My 8th grader is in Algebra 2 and he definitely did not attend elementary or middle school anywhere near Potomac. [/quote]

Oak View is one. There was an employee who responded to a thread a few years back who said that several of the CES kids were taking AIM in 5th grade. [/quote]
