While I really dislike the school personally, the OP I think was just trying to throw mud at the school and she seems to have disappeared
Can you talk about this more? What do you dislike about the school? We are considering it
Seems this PP did exactly what they criticized OP for doing.
PP here. No, I did not. We applied coming from one of the famous preschools in NWDC. We were prisoners, but did not go to mass (just donated to the school/church a bit). We were disrespected by the admission lady (con’t remember her name, but she is tall) in front of all the other parents touring the school. I won’t go into details, but I was upset. We were waitlisted, but would not have taken the spot anyway. We ended up admitted at 2 Big 3 for K. Min all honesty there is a lot not to like about the school when compared with BVR, Sidwell, etc. but the disrespect I felt from the AD was enough for us to run from the school. We had applied because it was cheap and heard was good education, but probably not comparable to what my kids are getting now.
Seems like a lot of sour grapes for not being admitted? How in the world did she “disrespect” you, I’m honestly at a loss what could have transpired? The school definitely prefers active parishioners, the Catholic but is serious. Comparing a $20k Catholic school to a $50k BVR is a bit ridiculous.
Let’s say she disclosed something about our family/my child to the rest of the touring families. It was awful. Not so much for what she disclosed that is really not a big deal, but that used our case to disclose some private information tht I had shared only with her and the principal to 5-6 other families. I was shocked, embarrassed and left before tour was even over. The day after I spoke to our preschool principal and told that we did not want to keep HTS on our list. I am not even sure the teachers sent the recommendation letters. On top of that, large classes, lots of electronics, zero playground or play space…. Maybe I am spoiled, but there is a lot wrong with the school apart my personal negative experience
Then why did you even apply if you had so many problems with the school? Sounds like everybody’s time was wasted.
What kind of embarrassing secrets do you tell an admin when you are applying to a school? I really would not expect them to keep track of what is secret and what is not.
