How / where are you guys applying? Blasting out applications on LinkedIn? Emailing recruiters? Corporate websites? etc. Just curious where you are experiencing the highest hit rates or any other lessons learned to have more success when searching.
OP here. I search for jobs in my target location/skillset on indeed. Then I go check the company website and if I like the company I check the open positions and apply for one (sometimes the one I found on indeed sometimes a different one) I think I’m best suited to. I’m taking a break from new applications right now but when I was doing 3-5 a week I checked for new jobs posted every 24 hours — with my filters that usually gave me 2-3 possible options to consider. I definitely had better luck with recently postings, although one of the ones I got an interview for was older. For things that didn’t work: I tried posted on some alum groups I’m a member of since people swear by networking but the suggestions I got there didn’t really pan out for me. I have been avoiding LinkedIn recruiters because they feel really pushy and I like to me deliberate in my applications/decisions.
