I have about 15 others I will review and decide whether to apply for or not.

Also saw on LinkedIn two people I know get jobs that I applied for. They were definitely better candidates, so I don't feel so badly about it.[/quote]

OP here.  Thank you; it really helps to have some anonymous people to tell about it since my friends definitely don't want a never-ending play-by-play of my applications!  Sorry about the Dec job; that's rough.  I'm taking March off new applications since I'm feeling pretty run ragged by interviews and technical exercises (and I need to do my taxes lol) but if none of these pan out I'm going to have to restart applications.  Annoyingly one of the positions (posting from August 2022) that rejected me with a "position was filled" email a few weeks ago just reposted literally the same job again.  Like seriously?  I'm mildly put out because their application process had so many random requirements it took me ages to fill out, and I'm somewhat overqualified for the position and they didn't even want to interview me.
