[/quote] I disagree with this and also know a family that moved in during HS and was able to get their student a spot in Blair magnet starting as a sophomore. This was pre-covid. This kid was coming from out of state and was coming from a magnet program and was identified in that state as "gifted". They were moving in-bounds for Blair, so, Blair was their homeschool. There are always exceptions to rules. Principals have a lot of discretion about what goes on at their schools (even though they don't necessarily like to tell you this).
