Sometimes teaching style can make a difference- doesn't mean what the current teacher is doing is wrong, it's just not working for your kid. I remember struggling in pre-calc only to have things click in AP Calc the next year and I think the teacher for the latter was just explaining it in a way that made more sense to me.
