I read her Swat essay, and it seemed good to me. If I recall, there was only one essay for Swat, and it was fairly short, but she went to the max # of words. Her CA essay was excellent. She is down today, but will move on - because what else can she do? She left nothing on the court w/her apps.

The top 2 girls in her class each applied to 30+ schools (though not Swat that she knows of). She will not be able to compete with either of them at any of the overlap colleges still to come this week.[/quote]

Rejected RD at Swarthmore as well.
Son in MCPS (public, MD) with similar stats to your daughter.

Swarthmore does not have Early Action, and DS did not want to ED at Swarthmore, because he was holding out for his favorite, Georgetown, which only has Early Action. Was deferred from there, so might have to fall back on W&M or UMD. Oh well. [/quote]
