Individual high schools are able to offer Health B as part of their local program. They need to share info with the community right after spring break.
Did MCPS actually announce that Health B is available this summer in person? Any links? Thanks!
MCPS has not said anything because it will not be made available through central online summer school. Health B will only be available if individual high schools choose to offer it over the summer. It will be an individual high school decision and shared at the school level after spring break. Schools have a choice whether or not to offer it.
Some High Schoola offered B this year in person; ours did not due to staffing issues. This Health B situation is terrible. The state should not have, in the summer between 8th and 9th grade for the class of 25, assigned a new requirement when there was no curriculum. All the summer school issues flow from this bad state decision. Nonetheless, MCPS needs to focus on finding several alternatives for getting the class of 25 through the class.
