Just stop. His wife stayed to the bitter end, was paid and part of the inner circle. This is not a clean hands situation.

You talk like she committed a crime. Tell me what her crime was. I’m very interested. I think the bigger threat to the reputation of Maret is people that come here to spew vitriol and rumors and be derisive without having ever met the guy. Go ask your search committee and your board what qualities the HoS has that were more important than his time at Whittle. Certainly there must’ve been a lot of applicants for the job at Maret. That would be a lot more productive for you. But you might learn some things that mitigate your anger and maybe you’re not looking for that.  [/quote]

OMG. You don’t hear yourself. You’re a full on conspiracy theorist. Q?  You know nothing about the search or other candidates but you have these assumptions. Go talk to your search committee. Go talk to your board. And give the guy the benefit of an open mind. For a year. You might be surprised.
