When I bought my first condo it was behind Loehmanns plaza in Rockville. People referred to that area as "North Bethesda" I always joked and said it was more like West Wheaton. Call a spade a spade, people![/quote]

My home in the 20852 zip code is alternately called North Bethesda or Rockville, depending on what I'm not sure. Personally, I just a soon someone come up with one name and stick with it, but it's not like I decided to call it North Bethesda -- it was called that before I got here.

I find most of Montgomery County vexing in this respect -- too many unincorporated places with no real town status! Heck, even Bethesda's not a real governmental entity. :roll: [/quote][/quote]

My point is why rag on people like the OP about this? It's not like she's bragging that it's in North Potomac. Or do you feel like just using the term instead of Gaithersburg is just plain uppity? It's not like everything is Potomac is all that, you know? There are crappy houses and townhouses there just like plenty of other places in Montgomery County.[/quote]
