This gave me a good laugh today: “Seeking a Housekeeper/Nanny to provide household help and after school care for our 8-year-old girl/boy twins…35 hours a week… The person would: Wash/put away clothes; Organize closets/cabinets; Organize kids' belongings throughout home; Vacuum; light cleaning; Prep for kids' lunches and occasional meal prep; Maintain shopping lists for grocery, house and school items; Help with school pick up and driving to/from activities; Unpack from school day/pack for next day; Watch kids after school; supervise homework and showers; Help with errands Must be experienced driver with clean driving record + ideally a car. Pay though payroll service. Looking for Mon-Fri 11-6 or 12-7. Will do more/fewer hours/be flexible on days for the right person who really loves to organize and enjoys elementary school aged kids.”
I pay my cleaning person $50/hr and she is usually here close to four hours every two weeks. Nannies for three kids should be getting a minimum of $30 an hour. Approximately three hours ($90/day) nanny duties and four hours cleaning, cooking, etc., ($200/day). $300/day for 5 days = $1500.00/week.
