The way that our house is set up you can see from he front door into the main living space, so we’d really be on display without the shades. I like our glass doors, but we’re on a quiet street, and set back a bit. If we were right on a busy street I’d hate them. Pros - lots of light. They really help our main floor feel light and airy.
