Surprised not to see Bancroft listed if you care about feeder and bilingual. Or Powell if you want bilingual with a shorter commute. You won't get in anyway so maybe it doesn't matter, but I don't see why you would switch from a school you like to breakthrough (which also has no feeder) so maybe pick one of these instead?
Powell doesn’t have a good middle school, so point adding it to the list.
If OP cares about dual language and wants a short commute, it makes sense...arguably more sense than breakthrough. She can still use her inbounds MS if she doesn't want MacFarland in 2030, though I think it's hard to predict what each school would be like by then or what other options there will be.
Op MS is probably MacFarland.
Wells
Wells parent here. We’re having a great experience and I am happy to talk to you about it, even though it’s so many years away for you. If you’re happy at your charter and IB for Wells, no problem to just skip the lottery and enroll at Wells by right at that time. If you’re concerned about upper elementary for your charter, Whittier was really great for us and will be in a new building by the time you’re that age.
