When I started my period, I had bad cramps and diarrhea.  I could not control when I needed to go to the bathroom.  I remember one time I couldn't go, and I was taking a math test. I broke out in a cold sweat during the test. Luckily, I was really good at math, so I got an A on that test, but I remember rushing out to use the bathroom at the end of class, and the result was quite.. disturbing.[/quote]

I had incredibly heavy periods as a teen, and became anemic as a result. Luckily I was in a private school that did not limit bathroom access at all (you just raised your hand to request the bathroom and were never denied). But I occasionally spotted into my clothes anyway, because my periods were so excessive!!!

So I can't even imagine what girls with problematic periods go through in MCPS. MCPS wants equity???? Then implement open bathroom policies and deal with the rugs another way!
