Rep Angie Craig, D, MN 2nd, was attacked by an unknown man in the elevator of her building this morning. She sustained minor injuries but was otherwise unharmed. And this is DC, so there will be no bond for the suspect if arrested. And likely no prosecution if charges are ever filed against anyone. It was only a minor assault. She’s got insurance, I’m sure
OMG you are such an idiot if you think that assault goes unprosecuted because of DC. Who concocted this weird fantasy world for you?
It's not fantasy, it's reality. Crime is not punished in DC. To be real, it's barely frowned upon by the Mayor and Council.
I think you should separate the Mayor and the Council. I am no Bowser fan, but I would say that she has generally aligned with policing efforts, while the Council has aligned with defunding, 'restorative justice', creative age limits and prosecutors (including federal) who plea down everything including gun crimes. I'm sure she's secretly pleased about recent Congressional actions, which align with her own expressed opinions, but she can't say so in her out loud voice because...statehood.
