I don’t think it’s so much a belief in the right to be unhoused (although I certainly know people who think that way).  I think it’s more just a practical issue/. There are more mentally ill homeless because the fetanyl and meth that is available now makes you mentally ill (and maybe even the strong strains of weed. For some people).  They clear them from one area and they just move to another.  They cleared Franklin park and they all moved to McPherson.  I think McPherson is scheduled to be cleared next month so they will all just move again, maybe to Farragut which is currently clear or maybe back to Franklin.  It’s whack a mole with the encampments.  [/quote]

Yes, but the reason why they keep moving is because of the fundamental progressive belief that they have a right to be unhoused rather than institutionalized. I'm happy to pay more in taxes if it means that we can get these people the help that they need and force them off the street if they are dangerous. [/quote]
