A small group ? The country is divided equally between liberals and conservatives. If it was just a small group of "religious fanatics", then Congress would take action by enacting a law or laws which would counter the Dobbs decision.

85% of Americans want abortion to be legal in all or some circumstances.  So yes, it is a "Small group" wanting to take away the rights that an overwhelming majority want to keep.  If you put abortion to an actual vote and looked at the final percentages as a country, it would remain legal

While I find the 85% figure difficult to believe, the "in some or all circumstances" would significantly reduce that percentage.

I suspect that the figure is about 50% want this practice illegal in some or all circumstances.[/quote]
