No one on this thread has been bothered by girl.  They've either had a fit about person, or they have said that having a fit about someone using the word person is stupid.

You are wrong.  People use the term "pregnant person" because they don't want to offend anyone.  You know that.  Answer my question first.   Why does the wod girl bother you.  Would you say "a person in my class has testicular cancer" OR would you say "a boy in my class has testicular cancer"  [/quote]
