In the nineties, I often thought of Pam as a common “Blonde Bimbo.” Fake bleached blonde hair, fake boobs, fake tan + zero talent as an actual actress. And I do not think I was alone in that opinion. But after watching this reflective documentary - I see there is so much more to Pam than face value. Now in her mid-50’s, I can see that she is a much different person than I originally judged her to be. She actually did much of the documentary bare-faced which is such a feat for ANY woman her age. Her vulnerability extends as she reveals so much. About her chaotic childhood, her parent’s crazy marriage, being molested as well as being raped at the tender age of just twelve. She doesn’t say how traumatic her life once was > she tells her story in a “matter of fact” manner….even adding a little humor on the side. There are no tears or pity partying as she speaks, she knows that everyone has gone through something during their own childhoods. She showcases authentic talent ~ especially musically as she performed on Broadway. Who knew?? And best of all, she shows what an excellent Mother she is (and has been!) to her two boys. This documentary is very educational, especially for women as it draws parallels to why some women choose the men they do. It ALL goes back to childhood….the type of home life we experienced as kids as well as how we formed our true definition of what being “in love” actually means. I give this 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟s and highly recommend this.
I agree. She's very endearing. The misogynistic responses on this thread underscore how she's been treated for decades.
