This is ridiculous…you can like or dislike people All you want but, how kids are raised is the baseline for how they handle life. You can blame coaches a little but, kids react to anything in life based on what they are taught. If parents are constantly trying to find greener grass, that’s on them not the kids. Shopping around is done by parents period. Stop blaming kids and coaches.
Too true. Travel lacrosse parents are the ultimate grass is greener chasers. This is going to be such a mess.
The next 2 summers for the 26s are critical from a recruiting standpoint. You need to be on a very good team and have club coaches and advisors that are giving good advice, opening doors, and doing everything they can to put the kids in the best spot for them. Maybe the ML 26 parents are hearing the stories from the 24 ML kids and their experience. I’ve heard from a number of people that the parents from ML 24 are not happy at all with their experience. Cabel has been pushing kids to talk to schools they aren’t interested in because he wants them to go to ‘better’ lacrosse school. And the school they picked isn’t great for the ML brand. College coaches whispering to parents that they don’t want to deal with Cabel. And high school coaches and other coaches they may be working with telling parents that Cabel’s brand is tarnished. I’m not saying that the ML coaches, playing time and parents egos don’t play a part. They certainly do. But this seems to be more about people moving away from a situation where the environment isn’t ideal for recruiting. A bunch of the 25s left for DCE in the past year for the same exact reason. And it will suck for the 6-8 NL kids who are displaced. This is spot on. The best players in every ML class are moving to Next Level.

This is not "spot on" the 2024 team has kids committed to Princeton, Syracuse, DE, Utah, all of which are top 25 teams. More to other D1's like VMI. This is a great outcome for any player. Moving from ML to NL will do nothing for recruiting. Kids play in the same tournaments and showcases. It is the player not the club and any parent and player is never forced to make a decision they do not want to make. It is between them and the school they choose.
Have you seen the NL 2024 recruits? They have done much better placing kids than ML. They have 14 D1 commits already including Maryland, UVA, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Duke, Hopkins, BU, 3 Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, and 2 Bucknell.
Yes, NL 2024 has really good players who would have committed .to those schools at either NL or ML. The UVA commit easily would have committed just from playing at SJC
