He can't and won't win. First of all, he has zero charisma. None. He is flat and comes across as stupid when he speaks. Secondly, there are not enough Cubans nationwide to swing the vote toward the man because "democrats. socialism." Finally, his culture war issues will not play on a national stage. Very limited to Florida and MAGA types, who sorry, are the minority. Electoral college or not. He is dead in the water rotten fish.
Why do you think Cubans vote republican? Thoughts?
Because they hear Rs throw "socialism" around as catch-all bogeyman and can't see the difference between authoritarian socialist governments and socialism as an economic theory. But Rs, who are truly authoritarian, have done a great job marketing themselves as the freedom party.
In other words, you think Cuban Americans are stupid. And you wonder why they don't vote for your side...
Straw man. I did not say stupid. I said Republicans were good at marketing. And misinformed or lied to does not equal being stupid. Combine that with some social conservatism, and Republicans have a winning recipe. However, no matter how you spin it, American notions of socialism are NOT the same as authoritarian Venezuelan or Cuban style "socialism," but low information voters and disingenuous opportunists will continue to make erroneous links between the two.
See, you do think Cuban Americans are stupid... When the fact is that they are among the best educated and most successful minorities in our country.... You should be asking how come such a smart group is crossing lines.
I don't think Cuban Americans are stupid, but I am beginning to suspect you are (or a purposeful disingenuous troll) if you don't know the difference between low information and stupid. Fow now, I will assume you are just low information and give you some, you know, information. Low information=ignorant of facts NOT stupid. " Ignorance and stupidity are often conflated, but they are in fact two very different things. A smart person can still be ignorant about many things. No matter how smart we are, all of us are ignorant about the vast majority of the information out there" https://fee.org/articles/voters-are-ignorant-not-stupid/
So cute. Go and grab a few beers with some Cuban American friends...they'll be happy to provide you with the information you're lacking. And in two languages!
If they try to argue that Bernies Sander's idea of socialism is the same as Castro's or Maduro's, I would conclude that they are low information and fell for Republican marketing. I would say they are still very much influenced by cold war narratives of how dictatorships happen under democratic leadership. I would not try to argue against whatever social values may influence their vote. But. Sigh. I am kind of done with you. You have not said one thing of any substance yet---only insults and half-baked implications
