The organization of charter teachers doesn't mean that DC is going to give charters the same money that it is giving to DCPS when the union contract is negotiated. There are at least two unionized charters schools in DC. The Mayor and Council did not (and will not) increase the budget to those two schools due to the negotiation or increase of their teacher contracts. [/quote]
