There’s nothing wrong with being sensitive. An issue here, though, is that IF this is friendly teasing — vs what the OP experiences as “mocking”, then the OP’s friends might not realize that it bothers the OP. I would do something like the PP who said: “Yes, we’re fancy like that” — and joke back. Alternatively, the OP could take it seriously and say directly that she doesn’t like the teasing. If they really are friends, they will respect that. A potential downside though, is that while they’ll stop, if it IS friendly teasing, stifling it might make these relationships less playful overall, and possibly less intimate — which might be more comfortable for the OP.
