Yeah, not my scene either. My first friend to get married had a stripper come to the house. We all thought it would be funny, and it kind of was, but the guy just pranced around trying to put his cock in everybody's face. Sorry, but outside of the situation that would be sexual assault. I didn't like it, felt totally uncomfortable the entire time, and was just completely miserable. We faked we were having fun for about 2 minutes and then another friend and I left early. It was so awful. OP, don't go if you don't want to. Really, I don't get this whole strip club business. I'm not judging others, I just don't GET it. I can't think of anything less pleasant than some jacked dude putting his wang in my face. No.
I am the OP - and this was similar to one of my 1st expereinces with a stripper - for a dear friends 21st birthday party - and her mother was there! It was so uncomfortable. I had also been to a place where they had all of the brides to be get up on stage and had a type of game show. It was bad and incredibly ackward. I have no idea where the party plans on going. (yes - the bride is planning as her maid of honor dropped the ball). All I know is we are going someplace "in DC". But these experiences, and a handful of others have left me feeling so uncomfortable with the situations I was put in that I would prefer not to go. Thanks for the tips in how to gracefully decline.
