I don't know what you are talking about.  I'd have to shell out an additional 20-30K right now to get a car with similar features.  It's not in my budget.  I keep my cars a long time and it's not been a long time.  We aren't talking about a few thousand dollars.  [/quote]

This is ridonk. I am a huge anarchist liberal who has always hated Musk, but I am not dumping a perfectly good car and investing in a new one...the environmental impact of this is way worse than whatever my perceived values are. People who know me, know me. I kept my Toyota for over 20 years till it died and I will do the same with my 2018 Tesla, because it is folly to replace cars when they don't need to be replaced. So wasteful.
